But Jesus Christ will come in person to the city of Jerusalem, on the top of the Mount of Olives, to rule the whole earth! There will be a divine government in the whole world. What a shock it will be for all humanity!
Signs of the Second Coming of Christ According to the Bible
This event is specifically prophesied in the Bible, both in the Old and New Testaments. Hundreds of millions of people believe, superficially, that the Bible is the inspired word of God. The Second Advent of Christ is predicted in the four Gospels, in the book of Acts, and in the Epistles of Paul, James, Peter, and John. The return of Jesus is the central point of the book of Revelation. If you believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, then you must believe in the Second Advent of Christ.
The King of kings will come back soon to establish the Kingdom of God on this earth, and you should prepare for it. You should know how it will affect your business, your future economy, your personal safety and everything around you.
What are the signs of the second coming of Christ? You must know the signs that will precede the return of Christ, and watch for them. Why would you remain ignorant of the events happening around you? Jesus commands His true disciples to watch and be ready: “Watch therefore and pray at all times, that you may be able to escape all these things that will come and stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)

The Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, and Luke each contain a narrative of Christ’s teachings, explaining what His disciples are to watch for before His return. Jesus Christ has given us a series of signs, which must be fulfilled before His return. Soon, for example, humanity will experience the most devastating and bloody war in its history – called the “great tribulation,” according to biblical terminology. “For then will the distress be so great that there has not been one from the beginning of the world until now, and there will never be. And if these days were not shortened, no one would be saved [alive]; but because of the elect [because of those who belong to God, who repented and obey Him], these days will be cut short “(Matthew 24: 21-22).

1. Wars, Violence, and Lawlessness Are the First Signs of the Second Coming of Christ
The Gospel according to Matthew contains a prophecy of Jesus given to His disciples about the state of the world just before His Second Advent. “You will hear of wars and rumors of war: beware of being disturbed, for these things must happen. But that will not be the end yet. A nation will rise against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom “(Matthew 24: 6-7). Jesus Christ predicted this decadence of society, just before His return: “And because iniquity will be increased, the love of all will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12).
This insolent, sarcastic, and covetous generation is heading for very serious problems. You must be aware of it in order not to take part. Why does our civilization fail miserably to find real solutions for peaceful and global cooperation between nations and ethnic groups? In a speech to the National Press Club, Norman Lear, a political activist, and television producer pinpointed the problem: “Our culture has never been so far removed from spiritual values […] Our problems go far beyond the only political significance “.
Wars, the rise of violence, and anarchy are the first signs of the second coming of Christ to watch.
2. Droughts and Famines
Droughts and famines – lack of water and scarcity of food – will hit the land like never before. Yes, things will go from bad to worse.
When there is a drought, there are also fire starts – fires in the fields and forest fires. Then, there is always a risk of flooding when it rains again because there is no more vegetation to retain water in the areas devastated by the flames. These disasters of drought, famine, fire, and flood usually go together. In Matthew 24: 7, Jesus predicts that there will be famines. 3. Earthquakes and Other Disasters
God has predicted an increase in earthquakes, and other natural disasters. Indeed, the scriptures reveal to us that there will be “earthquakes in various places” just before the return of Christ (Mark 13: 8, Matthew 24: 7). Many of you will notice that, in recent years, earthquakes have been frequent, sometimes even in unusual places. This trend will continue as the Bible states. It is Jesus Christ who prophesied it. And you should also prepare for it. Take care, because the number and magnitude of earthquakes are increasing, and they will be more and more destructive.
These jolts of the earth are produced by natural landslides, and movements within the Earth’s mantle, especially along with tectonic plates or faults. As journalist William Broad pointed out, one million people died in earthquakes in the 20th century, and scientists agree that in the 21st century, “there could be ten times more deaths, with a loss of one million lives in one fell swoop “(New York Times,” Earthquakes: A Matter of Luck, Most of It Bad, “September 28, 1999).

But future earthquakes will not all be linked to natural phenomena – natural landslides and tensions in the Earth’s crust. Some will be provoked directly by God, as a sign of His power, to help people wake up. God will take over the problems of men. The earthquakes mentioned by Jesus Christ, who will announce His return, will be unusual both in their location and in their incomparable magnitude.
Why? Most of us understand it. But remember that Jesus Christ foretold, “A nation shall rise against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom, and there shall be famines and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24: 7). ). Have not there always been earthquakes? Of course yes. But Jesus says that they will be more numerous – and much more powerful. This is exactly what has been happening for a few years!
That is why, dear readers, be vigilant because the intensification of the earthquakes is a sign that Christ will return soon.
4. Outbreaks
Health officials around the world are looking into epidemics. AIDS is one of the most debated “new” diseases – the Ebola virus, “mad cow disease”, and other diseases that were barely talked about a decade ago, are worrying today. all public health experts. In addition, many of the plagues of the past (malaria and tuberculosis to name just two) are resurging again – these diseases are resistant to treatment, penicillin and other drugs once used to fight them! More and more people are affected by degenerative diseases, such as cancer and heart problems, while food and water are becoming increasingly polluted in this technological age.
Jesus Christ predicted that great “plagues” would be one of the signs of the second coming of Christ (Luke 21:11).
5. A False Christianity and the False Prophets
One of the warning signs of the second coming of Christ is the rise of the phenomenon of false prophets; false servants of God and many people will be at their mercy.
The Bible clearly announces that a wave of false prophets will break at the end of this era! These ambitious and vain men could even affect your life if you let them. The false prophets of our day, we count as grains of sand…
Enough biblical warnings about false prophets:
“Keep false prophets, they come to you in sheep’s clothing, but within them are ravening wolves.” (Matthew 7:15) “Many false prophets will arise, and they will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:11). “For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall do great wonders and wonders, so as to deceive if possible even the chosen ones” (Matthew 24:24).
“There have been false prophets among the people, and there shall be false teachers among you, who shall bring in evil cults, and deny the ruler who has redeemed them, and will bring upon them a sudden ruin.” (2 Peter 2: 1)
They present another gospel. They preach another Jesus Christ. They think they are God. They disguise themselves as true servants of God. They teach doctrines of demons. They win the mind of the unconverted by miracles. They flatter the people with lying miracles. They direct their followers away from the presence of God. The luxury, the prosperity, the goods of this world, the glory, and the power – are served from the top of the flesh – to the detriment of the denunciation of sin. The purpose of their works is to lose souls and abuse them materially and spiritually.
That is why 1 John 4: 1 gives us this instruction: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have come into the world.”
6. The Appearance of “the Ungodly Man”
The Bible has predicted that an “ungodly man” will appear (2 Thessalonians 2: 3) and will perform miraculous “signs of the second coming of Christ” that will deceive millions of confused human beings! God inspired the Apostle John to describe this man as “another beast” (Revelation 13:11). This individual will use the power of the last resurgence of the Roman Empire, but he will not be a political or military leader. He will be a powerful religious personality that will seduce millions of people! John wrote about it: “It worked great wonders, to bring down fire from heaven on earth, in the sight of men. And she deceived the inhabitants of the earth by the wonders which she was given to do in the presence of the beast, telling the inhabitants of the earth to make an image of the beast who had been wounded by the sword and who lived “(Verses 13-14). God declares that by performing spectacular miracles, this coming religious leader will “seduce the inhabitants of the earth” (verse 14).
7. The Gospel of the Kingdom of God Will Be Preached to All Nations
In Matthew 24:14, the Bible reveals another sign before the second Advent of Christ – and it will be fulfilled very soon. “This good news [the gospel] of the kingdom” – the good news of the coming Kingdom, or divine government over the world, based on the divine laws – “will be preached throughout the world, to serve as testimony to all nations “. This gospel is good news, but it contains a warning. 9. The Abomination of Desolation
Matthew 24: 15-20, gives us a warning. When you see the abomination of desolation … established in a holy place, let it be read! … (Matthew 24: 15). For then the distress will be so great that there has not been one from the beginning of the world until now, and that there will never be (Matthew 24:21).
So we have to watch what’s going on around us, keep up with the news and the evolution of things. From day to day the fulfillment of God’s prophecies concerning the coming of Christ is taking shape…
10. The Heavenly Signs, the Last Seven Plagues, and the Day of the Lord
Then – after the great tribulation – there will be great astronomical signs of the second coming of Christ in the sky that will be visible to all the inhabitants of the earth. “Immediately after these days of trouble, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Matthew 24:29).
God will really intervene in human affairs!
And He will intervene even with nature, to show this generation that there is a real God.
Note this: “I looked when he opened the sixth seal; and there was a great earthquake, the sun became black as a sack of horsehair, the whole moon became like blood, and the stars of heaven fell on the earth, like the green figs of a fig tree shaken by a wind violent “(Revelation 6: 12-13).
The six seals presented here describe the same events that will occur in the end times, of which Jesus spoke to His disciples.
When the seals are open, we find first the false prophets; second, wars; third, famines; fourth, epidemics; in the fifth, a great tribulation (and the martyrdom of the saints). The sixth seal is the celestial sign. In Joel 2, we also see the heavenly signs occurring before the great and terrible Day of the Lord. “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the day of the Lord, from that great and terrible day” (verse 31). We have already seen in Matthew 24 that the heavenly signs of the second coming of Christ come after the great tribulation. What remains before the Kingdom of God is fully established?
What will happen after the opening of the first six seals? “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who can stand? (Revelation 6: 17)
In Revelation 11:15, the seventh trumpet – the famous “last trumpet” – sounded. Christ returns with power and in all His glory. But on His return, the seduced nations will fight Him and blaspheme their own Creator (Revelation 16:21; 17:14)!
