An Important Steps of Sanctification

A life of sanctification cannot be done without obedience and humility. Obedience and humility are two essential steps of sanctification that go hand in hand. Indeed, these two terms are of great importance in the Christian life. If we understand obedience and humility, we will know their importance and role in a life of sanctification. We can have knowledge of the Bible and claim to have faith, but what matters most in our walk with the Lord Jesus is our sanctification. Indeed, through a life of sanctification, we find everything we need for an intimate and fruitful relationship with God: faith, love, obedience, and humility.

In this article, which is meant to be preaching, we will discuss the subject of obedience and humility in Sanctification. What are their reports? And how should we understand them?Steps of Sanctification

We begin with the relationship between obedience and sanctification. Then we will continue with the relationship between humility and sanctification.

1 – Obedience: An Agent of Two Steps of Sanctification

You shall sanctify yourself, and ye shall be holy, for I am the LORD your God, and observe my laws, and do them: I am the LORD who sanctifies you.” Leviticus 20: 7.

Adam and Eve dared to transgress the commandments of the Lord, and the terrible consequence of their sin should warn us not to follow the example of their disobedience. […] There is no true sanctification apart from obedience to the truth. Those who love God with all their heart will also love all his commandments. The sanctified heart is in harmony with the precepts of the law of God because they are holy, just, and good. As the Bible says: ” The law is holy, and the commandment is holy, just and good. ” Romans 7:12.

No one who truly loves God can continue to transgress any of the commandments of the law. When a man breaks the law, he condemns it. She becomes for him a yoke of servitude. Whatever his spiritual state, he is not justified, that is, forgiven.

” The law of God is perfect; it restores the soul. “

The sanctification of the body, the soul, and the spirit is obtained by obedience. This sanctification is a progressive work, a march forward from one state of perfection to another.

That a living faith presides over the fulfillment of our most insignificant duties; all that we do in this way will contribute to the growth of the Christian. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ. All our businesses will be enlivened by our love for him. So, by judicious use of our talents, we can reach the upper world. This is the process of true sanctification which consists of the joyful accomplishment of daily duties and complete submission to the will of God. In this sense, we understand that obedience is an agent of sanctification. And this obedience must be daily, in all circumstances and in all places.

When one has a heart full of the desire to obey the Lord and when one strives to achieve this goal, Jesus considers this disposition, and this will like the best service that man can fulfill. He protects against disability human by his divine merits.

In addition to being an agent of sanctification, obedience is the best plan to demonstrate one’s love and faith in God.

Learn to obey the word of God instead of deceiving you with false reasoning. Let’s avoid trying to justify our disobedience to God. A sin remains a sin; it is not justified.

” God does not seek perfect men but rather obedient men. ” (Thomson  Dablemond). Indeed, no one is perfect [as it says, “All have sinned” Romans 3:23 ]. However, the Lord is looking for people who take pleasure in the law of God.

You have been made known, O man, what is good, and what the LORD asks of you, that you practice righteousness, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.Micah 6: 8.

What God wants is your sanctification …1 Thessalonians 4: 3.

Samuel said,” Does the LORD find pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? ” Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and his word is better than the fat of the rams, for disobedience is as guilty as divination, and resistance is no less than idolatry and teraphim since you have rejected the word of the Lord, also reject as a king.1 Samuel 15: 22-23.

So far, you understand the meaning and role of obedience in sanctification. But what about that humility in sanctification?

2 – Humility: The Most Precious Fruit of the Sanctification.

He glorifies the unfortunate by saving them.” Psalms 149: 4.

Humility is the most precious fruit of sanctification. When this grace reigns in the soul, it shapes the character. We are constantly at the service of the Master, and we submit ourselves entirely to his will. The intelligence seizes eternal truths, and the will bows before every divine precept, without doubting or murmuring. True humility softens the heart while controlling it. It gives a better understanding of the sacred word. She places thoughts under the authority of Jesus Christ. It opens the heart to the Word of God, as the Lord opened the heart of Lydia. Humility places us with Mary at the feet of Jesus, and there we seek to educate ourselves. ” He leads the humble to righteousness; he teaches the humble his way. ” (Psalms 25: 9).

The language of humility is never that of pride. Like the young Samuel, the believer who possesses a humble spirit declares: ” Speak, O Lord, for your servant is listening! ” When Joshua was at the head of the people, and he had to command Israel, he challenged all the enemies of God. His heart was full of noble thoughts that flowed from his great mission. And yet, when he received his heavenly message, he adopted the attitude of a little child who wishes to be led. ” What does my Lord say to his servant?” He replied …

The sweetness that manifests itself in the school of Christ is one of the most precious fruits of the Spirit. It is a grace that engenders the Sanctifying Spirit and makes the person who possesses it capable of controlling, at all times, a violent and carried-away character. […]

Humility is an interior ornament that the Lord esteems of great value. […]

He who has placed the luminous stars in heaven has promised that by the Spirit, he ” glorifies the unfortunate by saving them. “ The angels will inscribe in the registers of the heavens, as adorned with the most beautiful ornaments, those who take on the Lord Jesus Christ and walk with him in a spirit of humility and gentleness.

May the one who yearns for a life of sanctification begin to learn to cultivate, manifest, and live in humility.

Yes, it will be difficult to accept God’s principles and will without humility. Yet sanctification is nothing more than accepting the principles and will of God in our daily lives.

God resists the proud. God does not live together with pride. Humility is one of the Christian values that the people of God must seek if we want to have a perfect and intimate relationship with God in our journey to Heavenly Canaan …

Humility is the indispensable condition to allow the holiness of God to dwell in the creature and to shine through us. Humility is the secret of true holiness. One of the real proofs of our holiness or sanctification is our humility before God and men. Humility is the flower and beauty of holiness (sanctification).

The only true humility is none other than the life of Christ, the Lamb of God, in us. And this life is translated into a life of obedience, faith, sanctification, consecration, and love.

May God make us obedient disciples and humble believers for the glory of His name, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen! May God bless you and help you lead a life of sanctification in obedience and humility to the way, the word, and the will of our great God, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
